In my 2019 TEDx talk “Relationships After Rape,” I talk about how the trauma of being raped in college affected my life and also offered some advice.

I was 18 years old in April 2015 when I was raped. While preparing for the talk, I had thought about including my experience of being sexually assaulted at a young age.

I was sexually assaulted when I was 15 years old and there are many factors why I did not have the courage to bring it up in my TEDx talk.
