No one expects a high schooler to have insomnia, but it happens. I would lay in bed and look at the ceiling until almost two hours before I had to be up.
I was drained. I was confused. It’s like my body was moving out of habit and not out of a real need to. Sadly, that was almost 40 years ago.
Insomnia affects 33 percent to 50 percent of the adult population. Whereas I am lucky enough to have chronic insomnia, which affects 10 percent to 15 percent of the population, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
