I can’t adequately explain the frustration that comes with having all of the mental motivation and emotional desire to do so many things — and then having a body that, due to chronic ailments, either fights you relentlessly the whole time or completely shuts itself down and refuses to function.

I used to pick and choose activities with the understanding that expending energy for one thing meant that I would need to recuperate for a few days before doing anything else.

I set up my schedule as intentionally as possible to set aside buffers for recharging and resting. It worked for quite a while, several years in fact.
