Introduction The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an annual scholarship program run by the Indian government’s Department of Technology and Science (DST).
DST began administering the test in 1999. It is a national endowment program that leads to a Ph.D. On behalf of DST, the test is administered by the IISC (Indian Institute of Science), Bangalore.
KVPY aims to encourage students to pursue a career in basic science research. The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a fellowship for students in the 11th and 12th grades, as well as first-year undergraduate students studying Basic Sciences.
