We spend a significant portion of our lives in the presence of our coworkers. If we work for eight hours a day, that’s almost a third of our lives, and half of our waking hours.
Based purely on time spent together, we can have a significant impact on one another’s mental health. We all have examples of that terrible colleague that stresses us out or makes our blood boil, but it can go the other way too.
I’ve been lucky enough to have some phenomenal coworkers over the years, ones I would consider friends today, who have helped my mental health whether it was intentional or not.
